McObject, in booth SL10409, will be exhibiting eXtremeDB, its embedded database system software used widely in telecom and network communications applications. eXtremeDB is built on a core in-memory database engine that delivers real-time performance by eliminating including disk I/O, caching logic, data duplication and other sources of latency. McObject has extended eXtremeDB with features that are vital in communications systems, including a high availability sub-system (eXtremeDB-HA), support for a fast SQL application programming interface (in addition to its even faster native API), and hybrid technology that enables in-memory and on-disk storage to be combined in a single embedded database system (eXtremeDB Fusion). In April 2008, McObject released eXtremeDB Kernel Mode (KM), the first-ever database system designed for deployment in the operating system kernel. eXtremeDB-KM leverages the high priority, zero-latency responsiveness afforded to kernel tasks and meets the data sorting, access and retrieval needs of applications (such as real-time telecommunications and network communications systems) that place key functions there. eXtremeDB’s rich features and development tools, as well as its reliability, performance, portability and other characteristics, have led to its adoption in leading products by customers including NextPoint Networks, SOMA Networks, Lifetree Convergence, Nokia Siemens Networks, F5 Networks, and many others.
