Frost & Sullivan has chosen Actelis Networks to receive an award for “market leadership in the global Ethernet-in-the-first-mile-over-copper (EFMC) segment.”
In choosing a recipient, F&S evaluated the market share, revenue growth, profitability and technological innovation of the reviewed candidates.
“In addition to leading the innovation in this segment, Actelis has an impressive customer base that is balanced across the geographies,” F&S said, citing Qwest Communications and Chungwa Telecom.
Among the equipment vendor’s innovation credentials, F&S pointed to Actelis’ many patents in the space and its achievement in creating the industry’s first EFMC repeater, which extends the reach of EFMC. Introduced last summer, the XR239 EFM repeater can be daisy-chained to extend EFMC services to distances of more than 25 miles and to deliver speeds up to 45 Mb/s over eight bonded copper pairs.
