Although many end users like the convenience of being able to get email from mobile devices, that capability sometimes lacks some of the functionality of traditional email interfaces. But a new offering from Everyone.net, a company that provides email services on a wholesale basis to service providers and directly to enterprises, aims to change that.
At NXTcomm today, Everyone.net announced that its Business Mail email offering now will include Everyone.net Mobile Email which, according to the company, works with all major personal digital assistants and smart phones.
“It allows you to get all your email on all of your devices in real-time and synchronized,” said Michael Rose, Everyone.net president and CEO. Although functionality varies depending on the client software used, Rose said that when used with interfaces such as Microsoft Outlook, the service provides “desktop-like functionality.” For example, he said, users can sort email into different folders.
Everyone.net’s wholesale customers include incumbent and competitive carriers and cable companies, as well as DirecTV. Everyone.net currently hosts 3.5 million email customers from its data center, and most of the company’s growth is in the service provider market, Rose said. “We offer four nines reliability and SLA [service level agreement] support service,” he said.
